iFly Jets B737 MAX update

We wanted to share some recent captures from the iFly 737 MAX for Prepar3D v5. While MSFS is amazing, for raw simulation of true aircraft systems, we believe P3Dv5 allows for the highest level of system simulations using raw C++. P3Dv5 may not have the eye candy of MSFS, but for true immersion, CAT III approaches, and more, we believe the iFly MAX on Prepar3D v5 can barely be beat.
Before questions are posted about the MAX for MSFS, iFly is proceeding well on this project, yet they are still some time away as it is a major new development. The simulator platforms are so entirely different, time-to-market for a study-level simulator takes longer compared with the FSX/P3D lineage. For P3Dv6, iFly is not looking at it at this time due to other projects in progress.

Prima immagine iFly Jets B737 MAX

Folks seem quite curious after a P3Dv5 thread was posted over at Facebook. We thought we would share a development picture from a number of months ago (it has evolved a lot since then). This is simply to show the fidelity the iFly team has been shooting for, and one reason development is taking some time. When the next milestone is met, we will be releasing more development shots with greater detail... hopefully not too far ahead (although the product is still a number of months away).

FSLTL Base Models 1.3 available in FBW installer

Added B788 (38 liveries)
Added AT45 (16 liveries)
Added AT46 (8 liveries)
Almost 100 additional liveries across our existing models (over 1900 now!)
Refreshed .vmr file for VATSIM
Model changes & fixes:
Fixed multiple broken animations on flaps/reversers
Added 'drooping elevator' animation when parked
Sounds:
Improvements across the board for all models
Complete revamp of startup and shutdown sounds
Improvements for VR and headphone users
Effects:
Fixed effects to work better on all model LODs
Optimized various heat blur effects with less impact on FPS
Lighting:
Now offer the option between the faux flare and "no flare" lighting, with no flare as the default (easy manual steps to switch as needed)
Flash rate for nav and beacon lights are different to better match real life
Taxi/landing lights are now fixed to front gear as appropriate and disappear when gear is retracted
Some models now have logo lights on while parked to add variety at night
Interior lighting now have different colors
Exterior lighting now appear smaller at distance
Fixed lighting issues/conflicts on some user-controlled aircraft models
Wingspan:
Wingspan values for all models have been set to approx 10% below real life values. This helps towards working around the sim's extra 6m diameter added to parking spots in scenery.
Note 1: You may notice aircraft parking in spots they did not park before, depending on scenery design. To fully take advantage of this wingspan reduction, matching changes to scenery parking may be needed. (Scenery Devs: feel free to contact the FSLTL team for details if needed)
Note 2: Because the wingspan values for a particular aircraft type may not match the wingspan of that same aircraft type from other sources, you may notice parking differences between FSLTL models and others

Fsdt GSX Version 2.8.8 – December 13th, 2023

GSX PRO New: Cargo Airplanes that don’t use ULDs, will now show Packages being loaded with the Conveyor Belt loader, instead of Luggage.
GSX PRO Change: Skin textures for some GSX Crew characters tweaked to appear less shiny.
GSX Pro Change: The PMDG integration will not set Payload or Fuel automatically if the existing value is already very close (within 10 kg) of the planned quantity on Simbrief.

GSX Pro Fix: PMDG integration will default to Imperial Units, to prevent conversion error from Simbrief planned Payload/Fuel, when no saved configuration for that loaded airframe is found.
GSX (FSX/P3D) Fix: Airplane stuck with simulation Disabled at the end of a Pushback when using a Towbarless tug with the “Pushback Raise” option enabled in the airplane profile.

GSX Pro Fix: Added exception to prevent removal of support ground vehicles in MK Studios airplanes.
GSX Pro Change: Some optimizations in VGDS text displays to improve responsivity.

GSX PRO New: The “UPS man” character used at Cargo Stands in FSDT KSDF has been remade from scratch for MSFS, replacing the previous version which was converted from FSX/P3D. An update to the airport will follow up to make the feature fully usable as it was in the FSX/P3D version.

GSX PRO New: Added SWS PC12 to GSX Internal Airplane Database.

GSX (all versions) NEW: Added the following Handling operators: VIAGS Handling (Vietnam), Thai Lion Air, BAGS (Thailand), Uplift Aviation Services, Romanian Airport Services, GlobeGround (Romania), LGS Handling (Cyprus), United Ground Express, Flight Services & Systems, United 1970/1990/2000 (USA), Leipzig-Halle Airport (Germany), Corporate Air, Altitude Island Logistics (Australia), UAB Handelshus (Lithuania), Roscosmos (Russia), Sagat (Italy).
GSX (all versions) NEW: Added the following Catering operators: Airo Catering Services Lietuva (Lithuania), Cabin Services Australia, Air Gourmet Hellas (Greece).
