In arrivo i nuovi aerei di Black Square per MSFS 2020 e 2024
Black Square Details Upcoming ‘Professional Series’ Baron and Bonanza
Black Square continues to expand the fleet of what it calls the “
most technically advanced aircraft simulations for Microsoft Flight Simulator”. Building on the foundation of the developer’s hugely popular
Steam Gauge Overhaul Analog series for Microsoft Flight Simulator (MSFS), the just-released product pages for the upcoming
Baron Professional and
Bonanza Professional series make it clear that this isn’t just a simple update of a previous release.
Black Square’s marketing partner,
JustFlight.com, has published the product pages for both the upcoming Black Square Baron Professional and Bonanza Professional series. In addition to a full rundown of the features and illustrated guides summarizing all major improvements, we are also getting a first look at the PDF Operating Manuals for the first two aircraft in Black Square’s Professional Series lineup.
Both the Baron and the Bonanza are set to be delivered in three distinct variants, each with completely custom exterior models, Black Square’s tablet interface, and hyper-realistic systems, thanks to what Black Square says is a “
roughly a doubling of the aircraft’s code complexity.” The piston Baron and piston-powered Bonanza benefit from the physics-based engine simulations first introduced in the piston Duke. This allows simulation of compression, magneto impulse couplings, blade angle, oil temperature, and cylinder head temperatures. Similarly, the A36TP turboprop conversion Bonanza will utilize the advanced turboprop simulation found in the Black Square turbine Duke.
Inside the cockpit, both aircraft now have double the number of hot-swappable avionics options than the original, Analog Baron and Bonanza. Modern avionics options will include the Garmin GTN and GNS-series navigators. For those who prefer a more vintage approach, Black Square has improved its KNS-81 Integrated Navigation System, as well as the venerable KLN90B GPS by
falcon71. A no-GPS option is also available, making for the ultimate “old school” challenge in low-IFR.
Both the Baron and Bonanza Pro will feature a custom sound package from Boris Audio Works. Here, Black Square says that engine starting sounds are not mere recordings but will feature multiple-layered sounds, constructed based on the underlying simulation. Additionally, we can look forward to over 110 random, scheduled, or performance-triggered failures, that can be triggered via the tablet or with third-party UIs and instructor stations.
Bonanza Professional Variants:
- A36 (Normally aspirated, mid-2000s model)
- A36TC (2001, turbo-normalized aftermarket variant)
- A36TP (PT6A-powered turboprop conversion)
Baron Professional Variants:
- B58TC (1984 turbocharged variant)
- B58P (1985 pressurized “P-Baron”)
- B58 (Normally aspirated, mid-2000s model)
The Baron Professional and Bonanza Professional will be compatible with both MSFS 2020 and MSFS 2024. Current owners of the Black Square Steam Gauge Overhaul Analog Baron, Analog Bonanza, or Baron+Bonanza Analog bundle who purchased through the Just Flight Store will receive a 20% discount on the new Professional edition delivered to their inboxes at launch.
