Dear Pilots,

We wanted to take a moment to address the initial challenges with FS2024. As a new platform, it’s been a learning curve for us as well, but rest assured, our team is actively working to address these issues and ensure a smooth experience for everyone.

We’re excited to confirm that the Maddog X will be coming to FS2024 as a native upgrade and it's just behind the corner.

Best of all, this upgrade will be provided free of charge to FS2020 Maddog customers.

In addition, I can now tell that we’ve been hard at work for several months to bring the Maddog up to 'FS2020 standards' in terms of 3D modeling, textures, and sounds.

Our idea is to offer an optional expansion that adds these enhanced features for those who already own the current version of the Maddog X. No ETA or screenshots at the moment.

Aggiungo che, insieme al 77W sarà il primo PMDG compatibile con 2024 e che se comperata la versione 2020 direttamente da loro la conversione sarà gratis
Questo al momento non è certo se sarà invece acquistata sul marketplace

Update iFly B737 MAX

iFly previously announced that we are working on creating an MSFS 2024 compatible version of the iFly 737 MAX8, now that Version 1.0 has been released. Our plans have not changed. We are well aware that some developers have created experimental ports of their products for MSFS 2024, and that has spurred many questions about why iFly has yet to do something similar or why we have not published a specific timeline for a MSFS 2024 compatibility release. iFly does not have a timeline for a MSFS 2024 compatibility release. We are still evaluating the appropriate path forward for MSFS 2024, and, critically, iFly is still waiting for MS/Asobo to update the software debugging tools. We can say that some work has already commenced in areas unaffected by the inability to use the debugging tools. We understand that you are eager to try the iFly 737 MAX8 in MSFS 2024, and we are eager for you to do so, but it will take time. We assure you, however, that we are continuously developing the MAX8, and that creating a version of the iFly 737 MAX8 for MSFS 2024 is our top priority. We thank you for your patience and understanding.

*** EUROFIGHTER TYPHOON PROJECT UPDATE ***
As promised, here is a quick update on our Eurofighter Typhoon project.
Unfortunately, the not-so-smooth launch of MSFS2024 and a number of (small) issues with its SDK caused some significant delay to all of our new projects, and the Typhoon is no exception.
Still, we made some progress in the past few weeks and the situation is as follows.

EXTERNAL MODEL
The most difficult parts are done, but we still need to complete the landing gear, weapon pylons and a number of other small details (inlcuding the PIRATE system for those who asked).
We also need to complete the animations (and this is why the nozzles are still way too open in the screenshots).
Also have complete a number of first pass "base" textures for practically every nation that operates the Typhoon (each one being slightly different).

COCKPIT MODEL
We need to fix a number of small inaccuracies in the ejection seat model, but apart from those, it is pretty much done in tems of geometry.
We still need to refine the first pass textures, so the screenshot is still preliminary.

AVIONICS AND SYSTEMS
We are moving forward at a not-so-fast but steady pace. The new HTML5/JS HUD is almost completed and it is one of the few elements we could not reuse from our P3D model.
We have also completely rewritten our radar module which now works on MSFS2020 AND MSFS2024 - this new version is already integrated in the Typhoon development build.

FLIGHT MODEL
Flight model development is on hold pending the completion of parts of the avionics and systems, but we expect we can start working on it shortly (possibly early next week).

SOUND PACKAGE
The plan is obviously to involve Echo19 to make the sound package.

NEXT MILESTONES
At the moment we *HOPE* we will have a decent Alpha build by the end of January but we'll keep you posted.
And then, you know our motto: it is done when it is done.

TDS GTNXi Pro supports MSFS 2024!

TDS Sim Software is proud to announce official support of the TDS GTNXi Pro in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 which has been released on 19th November 2024.

As has been announced earlier this week, after the WASM bug has been fixed, a new MSFS 2024 bug which has slipped in V1.2.7.0 (patch 3) which has blocked the display of the TDS GTNXi Pro. The bug has been confirmed by Asobo to be fixed and a community developer has posted a workaround until a new MSFS 2024 patch will be released. We have used this opportunity to release the TDS GTNXi Pro for MSFS 2024 so all our users can now fully enjoy the TDS GTNXi Pro in the new simulator!

Through this message we would like to thank community developer @JoshC_FSim from the MSFS Devsupport forum for providing information on the workaround to make the TDS GTNXi Pro fully working in MSFS 2024 before a patch is released.

We are excited about the new features which MSFS 2024 has to offer and we are willing to integrate as many as possible. At this stage we are analyzing all new features that the TDS GTNXi Pro could benefit from and the work that entails! In order to facilitate the ease of use of the TDS GTNXi Pro, the TDS GTNXi executable has been coded to detect the MSFS platform, thus it will be shared in between platforms. There are different WASM gauges for each MSFS version.

The TDS GTNXi Pro or the Pro Upgrade for existing base TDS GTNXi customers are required for MSFS 2024 support!

To obtain the latest version compatible with MSFS 2024, you need to use the updated TDS GPS Manager, version 1.0.1.3 which can be downloaded from the My Account section of the sales website.
The minimum compatible version of the TDS GTNXi Pro for MSFS 2024 is version 1.2.0.0

We hope that the transition from MSFS 2020 to MSFS 2024 will be as easy as possible and we are here to assist customers with the TDS GTNXi Pro in MSFS 2024. We stand by the TDS GTNXi Pro and we are doing our best to support MSFS 2024 as well as to continue improving the TDS GTNXi Pro by adding the features that matter the most to our users!

The MSFS 2020 version will continue to be supported with the MSFS 2024 version as much as technically possible, currently any update to the core TDS GTNXi will update both versions.

Note: At the time of writing this press release, the WT G3X V2 has had some changes for MSFS 2024, the ported add-ons with WT G3X compatibility feature the WT G3X V1, which will not pose a communication issue. We will work on WT G3X V2 compatibility on our end with the aircraft add-on developers in order to provide the best possible experience between our products.

E udite udite, compatibile anche con FS2020! Il che è un'ottima cosa, visto che non prevedo di passare al nuovo simulatore almeno fino all'estate del 2025, se non oltre. Evidentemente hanno notato come, a dispetto delle previsioni, FS2024 non abbia avuto il seguito che ci aspettava, e quindi parte dell'utenza più simulativa è rimasta su FS2020.

Immersive Audio

In this initial preview video of the upcoming MaddogX Sound Immersion NG soundpack, exclusively developed for "Fly The Maddog X MD-82" MSFS version, we are demonstrating mostly cockpit and cabin environmental audio, including iconic JT8D engine sounds. No ETA as of now. Our goal is to finish it before February 2025. Fingers crossed.

I'm so excited about the latest Headwind A330 cockpit update! It's not a totally new model or a full A330 cockpit, but still a big step up.
